PL2303GS chip is an old but proven piece, what more do you want from a technologically old serial connection
drivers on CDROM for Mac, for Win XP to Win11, for Linux although they have been in the standard kernel for decades
mainly it is the only cable that can connect directly to the serial port of the computer, because it has a female connector, so it is suitable for monitoring the serial console of computers (all other products in the Alza offer have a male connector and this would require another converter ("null modem" RS232 cable DB9(F) - DB9(F) female-to-female or converter with the same pair of female connectors)
the only item on offer and the last piece we just bought, the others are USB2.0(type A)-DB9(M)
