If you want to throttle the SSD, this reduction is the ideal solution. Writes are slow, and deleting small files takes forever. Through the reduction I deleted the folder test in 10 hours, through SATA it is in 10 minutes - 60 times faster! For reading large files and occasional writing it is fine, for working with a larger number of small files it is very slow. Tested on a USB 3.2 Gen2 port, which has a transfer capacity of 10Gb/s (=1.25 GB/s). The marketing of the reduction claims that it can handle 5000 Mbps (=625 MB/s), but under the most ideal conditions it still only gave 3488 Mbps (=436 MB/s).
Seq read: 436 MB/s (550 via SATA)
512K read: 376 MB/s (398 via SATA)
Seq write: 234 MB/s (500 via SATA)
512K write: 232 MB/sata (490 via SATA)
4K write: 10 MB/s (100 via SATA - 10x more! )
4K read: 23 MB/s (40 via SATA)
4KQD32 write: 10 MB/s (346MB/s via SATA - 34x more! )
4KQD32 read: 170 MB/s (402 via SATA)
Extremely slow lubrication: ~100 positions/second

The HDD will not start after connecting to the NTB via USB, it needs its own power supply, however, the error may be only with me due to an older HDD, so I give 4 stars.
