It hums loudly when in use, not really quiet as written in the specs. He'll enter with a good-sized fan. But maybe I just found the wrong piece.
Small, practical, elegant
It makes up for the need to connect to a network by being able to plug into a second USB port
It serves its purpose, is fast and so far seems reliable

good mechanical processing of both case drive and power adapter
the package includes the necessary cabling (USB 3 + power supply) and power supply in case of insufficient current from the USB port of the computer
Inside is the Pioneer BDR-UD03 drive
the manufacturer includes one blank 25 GB BD-R M-Disc!
works on both major platforms (tested on macOS Sierra and Win 7 Pro)
Burning software for Windows only, Mac users are out of luck
