The cork surface is about 0.5mm thick, the rest is paper cardboard. It would be a good idea to put this information in the product parameters. The board is spot glued in the middle of the longer side of the frame. Since the rest of the board "floats" in the frame, there is a risk that the cork layer will break off at that point. Which happened in my case when I unpacked it.
