Yes, it's cheap, we were looking for something useless as a treat etc, but here we are disappointed. Ability to talk back to the child noticeably absent, sound sensitivity very poor, reps. the child has to speak up very loudly to be heard. The shape of the baby monitor is horrible, the base is about 1cm2, so it constantly falls down just looking at it, the placement of the power cord puts a crown on it, very impractical in terms of handling. I don't recommend it, look elsewhere
