My experience as a non-audiophile: -) My experience is that the amplifier sounds nice. I have two headphones - HD650 and LCD3(planars) and FiiO K7 Pro as Dac/Amp. It plays very nicely, but I wanted some heat. So I'm gonna try the lamps. Well, I got a TA-30. There are differences, but not major ones. The TA-30 doesn't get along well with the LCD3. It kind of, I don't know, sounds inaccurate. the HD650's bass has been greatly enhanced, which is actually the goal of many music fans(HD650 with better bass). But the difference is not crucial. When you consider that the K7 Pro sold for about 6k while the TA-30 cost 14+k. I don't know - I'll probably return it, because having both makes sense, but not so much that it justifies the price. So the opinion in conclusion: if you don't plan plan planars and it's your first Dac/Amp, for the nice price you can buy it now on alza it's definitely worth trying because you won't regret it. But if you already have something and want to try upgrading, this is not the way to go. PS: if some audiophile friend tells you that the TA-30 is bad because it has an outdated and only one DAC chip, don't worry about it. Fiio K7 Pro has two dacs, beautiful, modern, and there is no difference; -)
