In fact, approximately 25% of Samsung employees have a Ph.D or equivalent. Samsung Group is even partnered with Sungkyunkwan University, a private research university. Samsung Group's products account for 20% of South Korea's total exports, while its revenues are comparable to the GDP of some countries. For example, in 2006, Samsung Group ranked 34th among world economies, placing it above the economy of Argentina.
