Established: 1982 in Fürth, Germany
Founders: Fritz and Michael Sieber

  • Central warehouse in Germany has a total space of 120,000 m2 and distributes toys to more than 22 Countries around the world


Simba was founded in 1982 by father and son Fritz and Michael Sieber, with the aim to produce traditional toys such as dolls, board games, soft toys and wooden toys. 

Two years later their first children's toy was launched – a baby doll. Their most successful toy, however, was My Bear, a soft toy launched in 1985. Simba sold more than 1 million bears within the first year, and in 1987 the total number of units sold rose to 4.8 million.

Simba is a relatively young company compared with some, but within the years since its founding it has managed to become one of the major toy companies in Europe and worldwide.
