Kids' Bicycles

When choosing an appropriate bike for your child, you should always make sure it is the right size. The size is crucial for the child to be able to control the bike properly.

The table below shows the values that will help you decide. Individual brands vary, so please consider the values in the table only as a guidance. To be sure, put the child astride above the top tube with the feet on the ground. The gap between the crotch and the tube frame should be about 5 cm. Always set the saddle height so that the child can reach the ground.

Also observe the correct seating position of the child. The child should not be stretching on the bike and handlebars should not be too high. The ideal height of the handlebars is at the waist level of the child. Underestimating these factors can lead to bad riding habits.

Children's bicycle sizes are numbered slightly differently than the ones for adults (seat tube length) and are measured according to the wheel diameter.
