Simply put, this MiniDrone is a remote control car on steroids. The Parrot Jumping Sumo can be driven using mobile devices running either Apple iOS or Google Android operating systems.
More than a ride
Unlike conventional remote control cars, the Sumo not only drives exceptionally well, it can also jump, achieving distances of 80 cm both horizontally and vertically. It can achieve a ground speed of 7 km/h, and with its unique design, can even rotate on the spot.
Sophisticated control
As already mentioned, the drone is operated by mobile devices. Owners of Apple products will be pleased to know that the app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and the touchscreen iPod Touch. The app is free to download from the AppStore and GooglePlay.
Connection is achieved via WiFi, set at a frequency of 5 GHz, with an impressive range of up to 50 meters. This little Sumo boasts a built-in camera so you will always see what's in front of it. You can even drive it when it's out of sight and from different rooms.
