Receipt printers are used to print cash register receipts for customers. They are fast, cheap and easy to operate, and tend to have a long service life.
Frequently asked questions when choosing a receipt printer
Are there different types of receipt printers?
Receipt printers can be thermal or dot matrix. Dot matrix printers are cheaper, have minimal operating costs, and can print multiple sheets concurrently. Thermal receipt printers are faster and quieter, but thermally printed text does not last very long.
What paper formats are there?
Receipt printers use cash register rolls with a width of 55-80 mm. Some models allow you to choose the width of the paper roll.
How do I connect the printer to the cash register?
The most common interface type is USB or LAN, but high-end models also offer WiFi for easy and cable-free connectivity.
