I am a long time user of a very similar older model, known as Manager or SuperStojan. Because of my aching back, I work from bed most of the time and the stand is an indispensable helper for me. Compared to the aforementioned Manager model (which is no longer sold), this one is less sophisticated in all respects. Savings were also made on materials. 1. The Manager stand had a large fold on the top edge, so you could grab the stand and carry it with one hand without taking the laptop off. With AlzaErgo, however, the fold is missing, so it is very difficult to carry the stand with one hand with the notebook. 2. The lower edge has a thin plastic cap that is slippery and not curved. The Manager stand had a rubber at the bottom that had a crease (see attached photo). This prevented the laptop from jumping to the floor when the stand tilted as it rested on the mattress. At AlzaErgo, my laptop has rolled on the floor several times, especially when I'm carrying the stand. 3. The lower edge is "sharp". When I have my hands on it for a long time, they get blistered. The Manager stand had a nice wide area where the wrists could rest comfortably. 4. The legs are shorter and so the mattress stand swings more. I couldn't find a better stand. But I'm still grateful for him.
