A basic gear stick for Logitech’s basic steering wheels – what more is there to say? You can change gear using the paddles on the steering wheel even without it, but it adds to the authenticity when driving cars that actually use this type of gear lever. It feels a bit ‘meh’ in the hand, and any adjustment options (e.g. (switch to sequential sorting mode) is missing. But at that price, it’s fine... until it starts ‘playing up’. As the internal mechanism uses potentiometers, which lose their accuracy over time, after a year and a half of use it began to register the selected gears incorrectly (the most common error was that when ‘1’ was selected, it would register ‘3’) – it is now being sent back under warranty.

For me it is not the perfect steering wheel accessory for real fans. If you drive cars that have a max of 6 degrees + lock (locking). Some sport and tuning ones can have 7-9, so then other gears are better. Great for me. Like the 2017 Ford Focus.
