There is very little space for an M.2 drive. Even if you don't put in one hot water pad out of two, it's virtually impossible to put in and tighten the screws. I was worried that the SSD would crunch during the homebrew because of this.

The radiator is ridiculously long - officially 76 mm vs. The length of the SSD from edge to edge is 80 mm. So a slight shift to one side bothers the screw and a slight shift to the other side bothers the socket. If the Chinese had made it 5mm shorter, nothing would have happened - the SSD doesn't heat completely from edge to edge anyway.
