tl; Dr: Do you have experience with another Philips Sonicare and do you know that the teeth should be cleaned twice a day for 2 minutes? Then I think Prestige is a waste of money. Any lower line Sonicare will do. However, if you now have a manual brush, enjoy technology and don' t worry too much about money, then Prestige will be a good choice. I think you might enjoy it. They will teach you and force you. After 5 years, my Philips Sonicare DiamondClean has reached its peak. I knew I didn' t want a Philips brush (recommended by 9 out of 10 dentists, true story). After a few days of hesitation (because I didn' t find a review like this one), I finally bought the top Prestige board. And it was completely unnecessary. It all revolves around the app. I' m a developer myself and I enjoy this, but the application does not bring any benefit. On the contrary, I think that in the long term it will be a flurry. 1. I offer instructions that I asked once and I did not learn anything new. (After the DiamondClean experience, where these instructions were and are available on the Philips website. ) 2. Real-time tracking of the card position was fun for me only at first. I didn' t enjoy it the second time, because I didn' t learn anything interesting there. (If you already know how to brush your teeth. After all, it' s not a science after all.: )) 3. I was interested in data analytics, so after 3 weeks I reconnected the cards and the application to see what I would learn about my cleaning. Well, I found out that the card only remembers the dates of the last 10 days, so I throw away the rest and I see a hole in the calendar. The app thinks I haven' t brushed my teeth in days. I did not learn anything interesting from the saved data. Frequency (2x a day) and average time spent cleaning (2 minutes; if the regime has 2 minutes, then it' s probably useless to measure it, right? ). Then he applied pressure and a quick movement (only if it' s good - which the cardist told me straight away, so it' s not good for me to lead it back, I know it can' t be done). In short, data is very simple. (Again, it' s not a complete science after all, and it' s probably impossible to find out about it.: )) 4. The cleaning mode can only be changed via the application. Otherwise, no. But in the end it won' t be such a problem for me, after DiamondClean I found out that I still only use Clean for 2 minutes. I don' t have dental problems (unfortunately). If someone has, I can' t say if the application will help them. For me, almost a month' s experience with Prestige is a direct confirmation that we don' t need smart applications and data science for everything. Investing in Prestige (under my conditions) for the application was pointless if it was for the design - I don' t see how it' s pretty, though. it' s always just a card.: )) And DiamondClean looks great too.

The toothbrush provides comfortable cleaning and is quieter than the previous model, while its ergonomic design ensures it's easy to handle. However, from my perspective, the premium features seem insufficiently effective for their cost. A single touch button would be ideal for a one-time setup of the brush in the app, but unfortunately, after about 3–5 uses, my device's cleaning intensity drops to the minimum, which requires reconnecting to the app and setting it up all over again. The cleaning guidance feature only monitors the tilt of the brush and determines whether you are cleaning the inner or outer side of your teeth, without detecting its precise position in the mouth. Very often, even this basic guidance doesn't work, so the brush not only doesn't know where it is, but not even how it's tilted. The accompanying app is quite confusing and it often takes a long time for it to find and connect to the brush. The app repeatedly failed to synchronise with the brush, which required non-standard solutions that are not mentioned in the official app support. All in all, considering the purchase price, I'm not very satisfied with the product.
