My existing Samsung M3 Portable 1TB drive with a mileage of 290 days and a total of 26835 start/stop cycles was starting to limit me in size. My modest little offline Neflix with 1200 movies wouldn't fit 1TB so I had to buy another 8TB. I bought it for 5 399 CZK and I have it for two and a half years and it is still as new.
My max temperature was 59°C and the average was between 30 - 41°C
The drive has been running for exactly 90 days so far no problems. Total number of start/stop cycles 1094

Long cables
When under load it heats up (logically) I recommend to buy USB fans with speed control from Alik
Diode
It's not a minus but it bothers me a bit (shiny plastic everything is visible on it )

Speed when connected to the corresponding USB (Make sure the connection to the computer is correct, you need to identify the fastest USB port and use the correct cable accordingly. )
Good cooling. The case has holes in the entire lower and upper surface and in the middle of the back wall and hardly heats up.
He's quiet.
The manufacturer states that USB 3.0 is supported without a transfer rate specification, resulting in support for 5 Gbit / s according to the USB 3.0, Super Speed standard from 2011 (5 Gbit / s, 625 MB / s), which is probably sufficient for the hard drive used. .
The manufacturer does not state which hard disk is used, I did not disassemble the case. Therefore, I can only estimate the hard drive transfer rate, which can be 194 MB / s for the WD Purple 8TB and 210 MB / s for the WD Red Plus 8TB. I do not expect to install Gold or Black discs. The real data transfer rate to this disc when copying video and movie files was 135,000 kB / s. (: -)
