maximum satisfaction - what I expected, it fulfils everything
transfer speed 220 MB/s via USB 3.0
Contrary to the opinions of some reviewers, it doesn't warm at all. Transferred 2 TB and I hardly felt the temperature increase. Of course, the vents must be accessible
noise level - not almost audible
I bought my first WD external drive 15 years ago (500 GB) and it still works without any problems. WD is simply a brand of quality
I don't recommend installing the included software at all. It's just going to turn a simple device into a complex freak show. Even though it was formatted to NTFS, I still preferred to format it quickly (3 seconds) in Windows 11 to NTFS again after connecting it to the PC to make sure I would not lose the written data.

Declared capacity 8 TB, real capacity approx. 7.7 TB.
I wouldn't have bought it myself and I'm not returning it just because it was a freebie.
ventilation grille from the top - it will be completely crazy with dust, mess, etc.
the ventilation grille at the back has blinds oriented in a nonsensical way - they are folded inwards - probably to let in as much dust and dirt as possible
the supplied socket adapter looks like the worst schmear from aliexpress (cheap dubious plastic)
in order to save money the manufacturer just clips the European fork to the adapter and the contacts are such dubiously thin wires
