Far Cry is one of the most successful franchises made by the French publisher Ubisoft, and although it hasn't gone through as many changes as its sister series Assassin's Creed, it still enjoys immense popularity. The first DLC, Vaas: Insanity, which explores the twisted depths of Vaas Montenegro's (Far Cry 3) soul, was released on November 16, 2021 on all platforms. The second DLC, Pagan: Control, was released on January 11, 2022, and is receiving favourable reviews in reviews, similar to the Vaas: Insanity expansion. The last DLC Joseph: Collapse was released on February 8, 2022.
Each of the three expansions focuses on one of the three iconic baddies, but they are not just a texture swap of the main character. In addition to a new perspective at the fate of each villain, we're treated to an action shooter in the vein of the rogue-like genre. We improve our character by going through each episode and acquiring new perks, but dying means we lose everything and return to the beginning of the game.
Each DLC can be purchased separately, but as in previous installments, you can also get them through the Season Pass. In addition to the three DLCs, the Season Pass also includes one of the most popular expansions of the Far Cry series ever - 2013's cyberpunk Blood Dragon. Additionally, the iconic weapons and other equipment from this DLC can be used by Season Pass owners in the Far Cry 6 campaign.
