I use the monitor in tandem with a MacBook, the 4K resolution does a nice service and at this diagonal size the finesse is still good. The monitor has nice color rendering and viewing angles + lots of settings through the menu. The joystick control from the back is unconventional, but I don't mind it at all. Some may find this unusual. What bothers me a bit is the longer interval before the monitor wakes up on an incoming video signal - I open the computer and the monitor catches up in about 10 seconds. You can live with it. I tried the speaker purely out of curiosity, and it is really terrible, exactly as expected. But the monitor has quite a few outputs, and is not commonly bought for the sound. I was surprised that with the supplied stand you can't adjust the height, but only the tilt (there is a height option, but it's confusing how to know it reliably - I must have missed it here).
Thin frame
Subtle white light on the front, does not glare or disturb at night
Elegant black stand
VESA 100 anchor holes
Matte monitor surface
Consistent brightness, no smudges
Connectivity
No-screw system for screwing the monitor into the stand
Setup menu
The purchased version surprisingly does not have height adjustment, only tilt (maybe my mistake but I couldn't find that information anywhere)
Cables coming perpendicularly out of the monitor can be damaged more easily than if the connectors were pointing downwards
The power supply is solved by a cable with a box, some people may find it difficult
Long time (approx. 10 seconds) before the monitor wakes up - waiting for the picture to come up (it's already a bit noticeable)
The plastic strip at the bottom shows a little bit where the hot plastic has flowed into the mould, it is not black / matt everywhere

After unpacking and connecting, the monitor didn' t seem to be working properly - the cable that was part of the package was to blame, but it was incomprehensibly not working in 4K (! ) The monitor works fine after replacing with a normal cable. I never wanted to see Philips again, because the brand' s previous monitor poisoned me with its unbearable and indelible smart features, which made it just a source of endless problems and an unusable piece of furniture. The tempting price of this 288E2A forced me to look for an instruction manual that stated that it was possible to turn off all smart monsters completely. And indeed, this monitor can already be calibrated and used normally, and so far - after 3 months - it works surprisingly well. Value for money excellent, I can only recommend.
Very good image
Caution - the supplied cable does not work in 4K (it is a cable, not a monitor)

At the beginning I was satisfied with the monitor, but after a while the monitor started to flicker. As if the cable was connecting and disconnecting (of course the problem was diagnosed and was in the monitor). The monitor had to be eventually replaced by an alternative brand that makes PC components and not refrigerators.
Image quality cool
Long power on when connected to macbook with HDMI
The monitor started flickering after less than a year and had to be replaced

It's probably too soft for me. for a 4k monitor it would need to be more like 32" to make the font more legible.
vesa100 in the lower part of the monitor - the monitor can be set high enough even with the usual. with a paddle
I find the joystick setting on the back quite hilarious. probably better than the touch buttons on my 2k Dell.
price in black friday
DP cable could also be included
speakers have significantly worse sound than most laptops and probably even phones
I couldn't turn the monitor off. what looks like a touch button on the bottom right does nothing. I didn't study the manual, but I tried to hold it for about 15 seconds and nothing. But I guess it doesn't matter too much - he'll just be in stand-by.
lacks a USB hub, but I would want that too much for the price
quite strong backlight
stand without settings - I didn't even unpack it
it takes a full 10 seconds for the image to pop up
the connectors stick backwards and not downwards like a normal monitor. When using an adjustable vesa brace, it can interfere (it interferes with me a lot)

connectors are perpendicular to the back and plug in well
very small margins
nice picture
VESA adapter plugged in conveniently
when compared to 2K monitors it takes a long time to ramp up the image, but this may not be the monitor's fault

Great picture, great. The change from FHD to 4K is huge.
Stable leg.
Number of connectors
Integrated speakers rather laughable
A bit tricky to operate with the `wand' at the back, but you get used to it.

size and resolution - 28' is just the right size for 4K
colours perfect - I also use it for photo editing
no defective pixel
thin frame
simple and clear menu
2x HDMI
flickr free - much less eyestrain after a day's work than before
none
for some it may be that it can't be rotated to height and the height can't be adjusted - but for me it's not a problem because the stand has exactly the height that suits me and I've never rotated the monitor to height
