It doesn't move, it really fills the support of a stable gaming chair pad that has a bit of thigh support and elevates the legs, for me exactly what I was looking for.

the cover on the top is relatively pleasant, but I have no idea what material it is (it's definitely not fabric, not rubber either and not plastic, it's probably some kind of material used to make mats)
I don't know how it will hold up long term under heavier loads, it looks to me like it should sag because the metal is not as wide where you put your feet and the same with the "feet", they are thin for putting your feet on it

I needed something for the office under the desk with a computer, and this product fully satisfied my imagination. It is a sturdy metal footrest, stable, does not slip on the floor (it has rubber bands at the bottom) and is glued to the top (so it is basically suitable for bare feet). It' s basically unbreakable. In fact, it also suits me that it is not adjustable, I don' t have to deal with the fact that the locking will stop working over time, etc. It has a pleasant incline, so I can change the position of my legs as needed. A great product that I can recommend.
