For a long time, I have been a fan of the BeQuiet brand, quiet fans, quality workmanship and a better price than with cooling solutions from the leader NOCTUA. However, I was disappointed with the mounting kit for the new LGA1700 socket and Alder Lake CPU. The set is not part of the product packaging, you can request it through the manufacturer' s website, they will send it to you free of charge, delivery to the Slovak Republic within about 10 days. However, there will be a problem with its installation. The kit includes a backplate + spacers to secure the screws to the backplate and should also separate the backplate from the screw hole in the system board at the height of the back plate of the socket, which is mounted on the back of the system board. However, since the washers are not hardened, it is only an easily deformable rubber seal, so it is impossible to determine a suitable degree of tightening. You don' t even have to exert a lot of force to overshoot the tightening rate and there is a dangerous spring around the socket. Exactly the same “cheap“ assembly solution has e. g. significantly cheaper SILENTIUMPC FORTIS 5 DUAL FAN, which already includes a set for LGA1700 in the package (SILENTIUMPC and BeQuiet made in Poland, is it a coincidence? ). For Alder Lake, I recommend paying extra and choosing the NH-D15s, which has well-designed plastic spacers instead of a rubber seal that work exactly as needed. And for investigators - try BeQuiet first and then compare the difference with NOCTUO.
