The sleeping bag is made of a pleasant to the touch material that does not feel synthetic at all. It is generally very well made. It has good insulating properties and children can easily handle cooler summer nights or average spring/autumn nights in a tent. It's a bit of a shame that the growing part is not detachable, so even if the sleeping bag gets shorter, you still have to carry all the weight with you.
