After 17 years, my great Philips iron left me, so I had to look for another one. I was intrigued by this one as a test winner, but what I received had nothing to do with a quality iron. I don't understand how anyone praises her and doesn't mind imperfectly pressed clothes. When I ironed with it from the reverse side, I could still see the un-ironed folds on the face, two layers of laundry would not iron at all. I ironed 1 piece of clothing for 10 minutes to make it at least acceptable. Delicate materials did not iron at all - the ironing board was lukewarm, giving little steam. If you need perfectly ironed blouses, ruffles, folds, shirts, dresses (which a dryer just isn't enough for), look elsewhere.

The best iron I've ever had, this one was for my daughter, I like mine even better with the sapphire shiny ironing surface, unfortunately I don't think they make those anymore.
