Probably good as a tool for the workshop to hold the board, for rough processing, shortening, cutting, bending.
For pulling the joint at all - weak, small. If a handyman makes a quality base, he can work with it, but the time invested in production will not be wasted and it is better to buy more expensive clamps, which already have a metal connection between the thread and the rear stop. Then a beautiful plane is ensured and it does not twist. To compare it - probably OK for users of Parkside and the like, but not enough for advanced users.

stiffness of the joint (attachment of the pressure surface to the thread) - I had to pull out the original pin and put a nail in its place and bend it - there is more play and it works fine. But again, there is a total backlash in the clamping of the workpiece. See photo

Inaccurate production, although it can be corrected, but it's a pity. One pair was OK and the other pair I had to fix. The bolt did not turn in the presser foot, the 40mm depth for mounting was 38mm in places. It's a shame.
