it overheats for a few minutes of recording, then shuts down and you can't record anything until it cools down again (they won't accept the claim). It can have whatever other features it wants, if it can't record with it at the time.

I already have about the 6th generation in my hand, and I suspect there hasn't been any radical improvements since about the 8th generation. Certainly the display on the front is a practical improvement, but in terms of video quality or stabilization capability, I don't see a major difference from previous generations.

they still haven't solved the battery cap, which is a bit difficult to open and there is a risk of losing it (if e.g. changing the battery on the cable car),
in low light, shake and at higher speeds, the camera fails to stabilise, resulting in blurry images
