I just have it as a blanket for the trunk of my car, it's enough for that.
I'd choose a stronger one for a picnic.

Great for us. It fits in our bag, doesn't take much, but it's just a tarp for grass etc. You can lie on it, but it doesn't keep you warm like a blanket. But it takes up a third of the space when folded. When it's warm, it's great for the garden or the park. By the colder days, it would probably be cold from the ground over it. Of course, we don't expect her to do that. It's the coolest option you can get..: -)
