An affordable real router for professional use
Quality documentation with examples
Possibility of configuration via GUI and commands
One would argue that a layman would not configure. In fact, it works out of the box, and what ordinary home routers allow a layman can do on this as well. Only a professional has more options.

I've had them for three years. I have two connected to Wifi Mesh. And they work perfectly. With routers from other brands I have dealt with routers restarting, they would not allocate addresses sometimes they got stuck. I have never had to deal with these from Microtik and they work perfectly. They have integrated antennas, but still achieve better coverage than previous routers with flashy antennas.
In general, I was impressed with Mikrotik.
RouterOS
Regular seamless updates
Backups of the entire setup
flawless operation
unmatched hardware and features for the price (at least three years ago now I haven't compared)
Generally great enthusiasm
RouterOS can be a bit too complex at first, because you can set up everything in it and then some.
