Famous solution, I use it for my camera and Ocolus drivers. It only needs to be charged occasionally, as there is no way of knowing what state of discharge the battery is in. On the other hand, I have yet to have a situation in three years where the device completely drained to the point of shutting down.
Easy recharging
Recharge status indicator
Retains the same power until discharged
They fit into any device
During use you will not know how much % is left

Finally someone has come up with AA size Li-Ion batteries. All my Fenix batteries have multiples more life than NiCd and NiMH cells, go for it, it's worth it. Experience with this battery will only prove itself years later, but we have a whole family of headlamps and batteries from Fenix and it's a proven brand.
Excellent alternative to NiCd and NiMH cells, eliminates their main drawbacks, i.e. j. need to fully discharge before charging, memory effect.
Can be charged from a power bank, phone charger, etc.
Capacity does not drop even in freezing weather.
I've been warned that the battery can't handle the current draw corresponding to lighting the Fenix HM23 at its highest intensity - it can.
Multiply longer lifetime than NiMH and NiCD
Built-in LEDs indicate charge status
Lower capacity than NiMH and NiCd cells, but the positives clearly prevail - you can charge anytime anywhere.
Charging only at plus temperatures (all batteries of all designs have this)

This is great, it' s a pity that somehow they didn' t solve it so that it could be charged through an ordinary charger for ni-mh cells, but I guess it probably won' t be that simple, they would have to put the inverter from 1.5V to 4.2V again and it would charge it would be a week. Especially if you have 4 or more pieces in series and you need to charge them at once via the micro USB connectors, so it' s a minor complication, but I have a USB power supply from the ham with 8x USB, so it doesn' t bother me at home, I mainly want it for a wireless mouse, so I probably won' t mess with it anyway outside. These flashlights may have less capacity on paper than Ni-MH cells, but really only on paper, in fact the 1600 mAh is better because the inverter keeps the voltage constant at 1.53V and thanks to that the device does not switch off prematurely because the “weak battery“ like that It is a classic rechargeable pencil that has a great capacity on paper, but in practice it is a problem to use it due to a drop in voltage. Everyone knows that, you put an almost new ni-mh flashlight in the camera, charges the flash, and due to a short-term voltage drop, the camera turns off because the battery is low, so it really won' t happen to you. I don' t know how these cells are with a current that can realistically or short-term can really give it, the manufacturer states 1.6A, which should be enough in the vast majority of devices. Just for testing, I tried to put it in an old camera and flash a few times, and there was no problem with that. However, the disadvantage of this solution of a li-ion cell with a 1.5V converter is clear - the device cannot correctly show the state of the battery, so it is necessary to take this into account. I would also expect some minor self-discharge, because it has a protection and charging circuit and it always has some slight consumption permanently, but they are lithium batteries, so you can fart it on the charger at any time and not solve any formatting as with conventional charging cells, which has always been terrible. poisoning, one person charges it to 1.48V one day and only 1.3V the next day. I don' t understand why similarly designed lithium batteries with a 1.5V converter didn' t start to be used before, now it' s a little late because the time of “pencils“ has passed a bit, but it will still find use.
All the benefits of Li-ion batteries are packed in an AA cell at the classic 1.5V
constant 1.53V
undercurrent protection circuit
1600 mAh paper capacity is actually better than 2000+ for ni-mh cells, because thanks to the constant voltage, the device will not switch off prematurely
the price is quite high, but if it meets what I would expect from it, it will pay off

I bought for radiator heads from Netatmo, which do not work well enough for ordinary cells and after a few days they report low batteries (either with alkaline or Sanyo Eneloop batteries), so it is necessary to change the batteries every 14 days. These can hold a high voltage for a long time, so the head works with them without any problems
Higher voltage than conventional pencil batteries
Good endurance in demanding devices
Slightly higher price
