It's for CCTV, but in PC it works absolutely without problems. Almost the same price as those green Compute's that are slow as bucks at the checkout because they are SMR. Realistically it gives over 200MB/s from the start, as it approaches the middle it drops to 150MB/s. Random entry (thanks to CMR) without problems. I have a quality case, so I can't hear the drive - so I won't judge the noise level.
CMR a few crowns more than SMR
Same power consumption as compute disk
3x the annual write time of the Compute drive, so hopefully it will last longer
Lifetime as a NAS drive (1M hours)
According to the manufacturer, Skyhawk has extended tests in production compared to Compute, so it's less likely to be gone by day
You can't tell the difference in a PC, it's just a HDD

Packaging - no one bothers to put it in bubble wrap anymore. It's just in an anti-static bag, taped over with insulation. I wouldn't want to get it by courier and in Alzashop it will tap so nicely "lightly" on the counter in front of you until you grind your teeth. so God knows what the poor guy's been through on the way.
After the adoption in the so-called. It's a good idea to give the eco-friendly packaging (bag) an honest surface test and wait a few hours (20 or so) for the result before trusting it with your sensitive data.

I purchased before the end of the year for data archiving. I chose according to the description and the review. After receiving the product, I plugged it in and started copying data, the write took a long time. Crystal disk showed the problem. The next day I claimed the disc and shipped it. Complaint not acknowledged.

2x 6TB bought for new NAS with RAID1. Everything has been working for almost a year without any problems.
Good thing I didn't buy a "dedicated" drive for WD RED NASes, which have SMR write.

Finally a silent drive that is both fast enough and suitable for quiet movie watching in an HTPC, the second one I have embedded in a NAS
Slightly noisier head, but that's only when a lot of small files are working with it.
