Wired TV headphones are most often connected via a 3.5mm or 6.3mm jack. Make sure to get headphones with a cable that is long enough.
Wireless headphones for TV are most often radio-frequency—you connect a dock with a transmitter to your TV and use this dock to charge and store your headphones. The headset then communicates with the dock wirelessly.

HiFi Headphones

HiFi headphones are for those who demand the highest quality music reproduction, whether it's deep bass or perfectly tuned treble. HiFi headphones are known for their precision-engineered construction and the use of first-class materials.

There are also in-ear HiFi headphones that provide superior listening when you are on the go.

Outdoor Headphones

Headphones Designs

There are 3 types of headphone designs, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Closed headphones are sealed to block any sound from escaping and cancel ambient noise.
Open headphones give you more faithful music reproduction (less distortion), they let sound out and do not reduce ambient noise.
Semi-closed headphones are somewhere in the middle—they partially let sound out and partially dampen ambient noise.

Selecting the right headphone is not always easy. First it is important to know what you will need the headphones for. For home listening, comfortable and rugged headphones are perfect. Lighter models are suitable for listening to music on the way to school or work, or for sports activities. Wireless headphones give you absolute freedom of movement, whereas headphones with microphones allow you to communicate with others when gaming or chatting online.

What should you pay attention to when selecting headphones? Focus on models that have the widest frequency range (the human ear can hear sounds within the range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz). Another important parameter is the level of distortion; it is expressed as a percentage and should be as low as possible. Headphone jacks are the standard for connecting headphones to the signal source; they come in 6.3 mm, 3.5 and 2.5 mm sizes.

Tip: did you know that headphones can reproduce surround sound and replace a subwoofer? So you can enjoy great movies and games without disturbing your neighbours or loved ones.
