LEGIE II: Amanda
The Amanda audiobook contains the second volume of the Legion science fiction series.
The universe is a cruel place. The right to life is only for those who defend it in battle. Even the crew of the Kraksna knows that. Humanity is enslaved by a powerful alien race, so they seek to free their planet with the help of the technology of an ancient space civilization. Or at least kick the ass of the blue bastards who looted it.
But life is a matter of priorities. A human woman is said to be on the planet Namathé and needs to be rescued. Mainly for noble humanitarian reasons, that makes sense. It's just that when you're working for a chicken-looking alien mobster, things tend to get a little complicated.
Welcome to the Legion series - the new world of František Kotleta and Kristýna Sněgoňová, a space opera as dark, action-packed and fun as the cold universe allows.
Kristýna Sněgonová
A somewhat mysterious woman, a young writer who came out of nowhere a few years ago, only to start winning genre competitions and winning one prize after another. She is a multiple Lady of the Order of Fantasy and Bearer of the Sword, winner of the Karel Čapek Award, and winner of the Mloka Award, as well as the Seer and other competitions.
She began her literary career by winning the Brahmin Udder Contest with her short story Freaks Should Stick Together (2009) and after a creative hiatus during which she took up sports, she wrote countless short stories and novellas, because the Udder Award is a liability. She also wrote a short story for her family's enjoyment from The Vault of the Mad Brahmin, which became the basis for Blood for a Rusalka - it was called Bloodskin and aroused only general disappointment at the time that it was not a girls' novel about the loss of virginity.
Her work can be found in many anthologies, she first appeared in the magazine Pevnost as the winner of the competition "Seeing" with her short story "Zadostiučinění" (Pevnost 03/2015), and in 2017 she repeated it with her short stories "O snílcích a snovačích" (Pevnost 03/2017) and "Sobotní izmenna" (Pevnost 12/2017). Her short stories are also appearing more and more regularly in anthologies, such as In the Shadow of Empire (2017), where she stunned and terrified with the story "On My Own Skin", or in the free sequel to the anthology In the Shadow of the Apocalypse (2018).
