Three weeks until the wedding

She just wanted one night. But things usually don't turn out the way we plan.

Lady Grace Carpenter, on her way home from visiting an elderly relative, was caught in such a violent storm that she preferred to retire to an inn for the night. Her younger siblings are waiting for her at home, whom she is raising after the death of their parents. Lots of siblings. She had promised her mother that she would not allow the children to be divided among relatives, and had already resigned herself to the fact that she would probably never marry for their sake.

Then suddenly Matt, the Earl of Worthington, with whom she's been a bit of a crush since she joined the company, shows up at the inn. He doesn't recognize her at all after all these years, and Grace decides that if she is to remain alone until death, she will at least not be a spinster.

Matt had almost given up hope of finding a wife who would suit him not only physically but intellectually. After an evening with a stranger, spent in an interesting conversation, followed by a passionate night, he completely loses his mind. Moreover, when the young woman disappears without a trace in the morning, he decides to find her at any cost and marry her. He has no idea what obstacles await him.
