It was the 1950s - a time when neighbours turned into guards and honest tradesmen became enemies of the people overnight. Against the backdrop of collectivisation and the staged processes, the story of miller Josef Nýdrle, who refused to surrender his farm and his dignity to the system, unfolds. The novel Rešeto is a sensitive reconstruction of the real fate of the peasant Miroslav Šnýdr. The author combines archival facts with memoirs to give a raw testimony of a time when sentences were written in advance, but some still remained clean.
