Ready for a new Atari game console?
In the 1980s, Atari was one of the leading manufacturers and innovators in the field of personal computers and computer games. At this year's E3, a quite unexpected announcement was made. According to various sources, it seems that the legendary Atari company is about to breath new life into the gaming world and once again impress all of us with its new game console.
Will it be a replica of the original Atari 2600 console?
So far, there is no clear answer. It's possible that a replica of one of the original consoles will be issued, a tactic Nintendo has employed with the SNES consoles in recent years. Based on the mysterious reveal video, it seems that the AtariBox will have a glossy black surface with a well-known ribbed design, and possibly a wooden panel. This would suggest that the new console will actually be based on the Atari 2600 from 1977.
What to expect from the AtariBox?
- Return of the legendary game console
- Lots of addictive games in HD overhaul
- Two game controllers with a long enough cable
