Beurer Pulse Oximeter PO 40
The Beurer PO 40 pulse oximeter is used for non-invasive measurement of hemoglobin oxygen saturation in the arterial part of the bloodstream (SpO2), heart rate (PRbpm) and pulse modulation index (PMI). It measures important parameters for assessing respiratory function. The Beurer PO 40 pulse oximeter uses two light beams of different wavelengths to measure, which fall on a finger inserted inside the device. It is suitable for use both in private environments (at home and on the go) and in healthcare facilities. It is especially necessary for high-risk patients with heart disease, asthmatics, but also for athletes and healthy people who travel at high altitudes (climbers, skiers or sport pilots).

Risks of decreased oxygen saturation
A sudden decrease in oxygen saturation, with or without accompanying symptoms, should be discussed with a doctor immediately, as it may even be life-threatening. A person with low hemoglobin oxygen saturation is more likely to experience the following symptoms: shortness of breath, increased heart rate, decreased performance, nervousness or sudden sweating. Detected reduced oxygen saturation requires continuous monitoring using the Beurer PO 40 pulse oximeter and a check-up with a doctor. A low hemoglobin oxygen saturation value mainly indicates respiratory diseases and illnesses, asthma, heart failure, etc.
