Deep Fryers

Deep fat fryers are a practical tool for preparing fried food. Compared with conventional frying pans, food is fried more evenly and in less time. You can choose between fryers with hidden heating elements, fryers with immersed heating elements, and rotating fryers.

With hidden heating element

  • heating element is hidden under the bottom of the fryer container
  • oil temperature is controlled by a thermostat
  • container is not dishwasher-safe, but the frying basket and lid are
  • pros: full utilisation of the container
  • cons: the container cannot be washed; residue from frying can burn

With immersed heating element

  • the heater is positioned directly in the container
  • oil is heated directly, so it is more energy-efficient
  • under the body, a so-called "cold zone" is formed, in which frying residue cannot be burnt
  • container can be removed and washed in a dishwasher
  • pross: washable container, oil doesn't burn
  • cons: part of the container is taken up by the heating element, so the full volume of the container is not utilised

Rotating fryer

  • the most modern type, with a sloping floor and rotating cage
  • provides even frying and saves a significant amount of oil

Container volume

  • from 0.5 to 4 l
  • for a family of four, a 2.5-litre fryer will suffice
  • the larger the volume, the more servings of food you can prepare in one go, and the less frequent the oil changes
