Modern Trends
At present, the trend for roadbikes is to have wider tires and rims. In producing the VR 3, the manufacturer has incorporated this trend into the design to give the possibility of fitting wider tyres. The wheel frame boasts a large 42mm space between the rear frame, allowing tyres that are wider than most comparable road bikes to be fitted. . The maximum official recommended width is about 30mm, but even wider mountings are unofficially possible.
