Fashion designer Edita has lived alone with her dog since the death of her first husband, and is gradually starting to hear her biological clock ticking faster. Her life is turned upside down when she meets the charismatic Ondřej, with whom she falls head over heels in love. The young woman accepts his marriage proposal, believing that her dream of having a child will finally come true. However, a harsh awakening awaits her. Shortly after the wedding, her partner reveals himself to be an aggressive abuser who will stop at no cruelty. Full of humiliation and shame, Edita carefully hides the domestic violence from everyone and searches in vain for a way out of the vicious circle. As an entrepreneur, she is self-sufficient and successful, but in her private life, under the influence of systematic abuse, she transforms into a submissive and frightened being. At one point, she finds the strength to resist, but her attempt to escape Ondřej's dominance does not go as planned. A tragic confrontation occurs, and Edita kills her husband. But the nightmare is not over; paradoxically, the real fight for her life is only just beginning… If only she had confided in someone.
