This publication by renowned authors summarizes the current knowledge in the field of analysis and design of enterprise information systems. The monograph examines the role of information systems and technologies (IS/ICT) in today's world, analyses the relationship between business and information technology, describes the possible and necessary difficulties arising from the complexity of IS/ICT and argues some approaches to managing IS development, especially business analysis, architectural approaches, methodological approaches to building IS and service-based approaches. The detailed description of the IS development disciplines is based on the MMDIS methodology and a multidimensional approach.
