Infernum

Untouchability of the powerful and bloody murders in the nerve-wracking thriller Infernum by a successful Swiss author.

A mutilated female body is pulled from the Vltava River. The hunt for the bestial killer is taken up by a young, attractive investigator Eva and her colleague Jakub. In the course of the investigation, very obvious evidence against Sam, the naive American friend of the dead Helen, comes to light. But Eva's instinct tells her that something is wrong. She is the only one who deals with even subtle details and asks more and more questions.

She is supported in her search for the perpetrator by her ex-boyfriend Martin, who, as a prosecutor, helps her as much as he can, even though he himself is in danger of losing his job. But Martin is not the only man in Eva's vicinity. Her wild personal life is increasingly intertwined with her cases.

As the investigation continues, Eva finds herself deeper and deeper in a cycle of power, lust and intrigue. Meanwhile, the police president and the interior minister are spinning their webs in the background - both pursuing their own interests...
