Life as amaretto

Can a Czech woman who doesn't know how to cook or how to deal with men hold her own in the land of gourmets and lovers?

Anna has a failed relationship and an uncertain future ahead of her. Her father's death opens the way to Italy, where she can start anew and better. In addition to the caravan, he left her letters that would bring her happiness. But Anna has no idea what such happiness looks like. Will she find him in Calabria, where a dilapidated house and a surly gardener await her?

At first impression, Briatico is not a dream town, but Anna will eventually come to love it as much as the local delicacies she tries to cook herself. In Italy, she learns about her family history and becomes close to Angelo, who shows little interest in her. Will he be impressed by the amaretto secret recipe? This will sooner attract the attention of the local mafia, who will thwart Anna's plans. Life is sometimes bittersweet, just like almonds.
