Join Meg and her adventures!
You may already know this slightly unruly and very enterprising little girl from the first book of the same name. Meg won't disappoint you this time either—she's still brimming with ideas and immediately puts them into action with the eager assistance of her younger sister, Liz. And because she has a good heart and a sense of justice, she rescues her loved ones and friends whenever they find themselves in trouble. With her characteristic verve, she succeeds, and without waiting for thanks, she runs off towards new adventures... Join her!
Astrid Lindgren
The world-famous Swedish author wrote children's books, film scripts, short stories for adults, and poems. She received countless literary awards (including the H. C. Andersen Award), and schools, libraries, streets, literary prizes, and even an asteroid are named after her. She worked as a publishing editor. She spent her childhood on a farm near Vimmerby, and her experiences from this period are reflected in her books. The first of her books to be published in Czech were The Six Bullerby Children, followed by the books featuring detective Kalle and Pippi Longstocking. Albatros is the author's exclusive Czech publisher and has also released titles such as The Brothers Lionheart, Karlsson-on-the-Roof, Emil's Mischief, Ronia, the Robber's Daughter, Meg, and Lotta on Troublemaker Street.
