A mystical thriller set in Bohemian Paradise. The search of the adopted Otokar for his birth family and the reasons why they abandoned him as a newborn in an infant home with an amulet resembling a cat's paw, develops into a drama with elements of horror. Journalist Otokar Starý has known since childhood that he is adopted. When his girlfriend Markéta signs him up for a TV show where people search for their relatives, he hopes to finally find out why he was left as a baby in an infant home in northern Bohemia with only a single object – a strange amulet that looks like a cat's paw. However, Otokar's family, who live in a dilapidated Sudeten cottage in a village long past its prime, have so many secrets that abandoning little Otík is surprisingly not the biggest of them. And as Otokar and Markéta quickly discover, anyone who uncovers some of them must never leave the cottage again. What was supposed to be a reunion with his own family very quickly turns into a fight for life and death.
