Poisonous plants around us

The first volume of the new full-colour edition of The World of Plants introduces readers to plants that are commonly known, even cultivated, and yet often dangerous to human and animal health. Within the 47 families there are over 160 species of poisonous plants and more than 230 related species, more or less also toxic. The text, which is accessible to all readers, is accompanied by original photographs, which make it possible to visually remember all the plants discussed. This gives the interested party an overview of the degree of toxicity of the plants, about the symptoms of poisoning, allowing him to prevent possible poisoning, especially of children and pets, about possible first aid, but at the same time they learn about the often medicinal effects of substances, that are used in pharmaceuticals, and other interesting things.
