Gina, a charming elderly lady of Italian origin living a modest life in Paris, has developed a peculiar secret weakness – every month, she goes to the casino to play the slot machines. And one day, she hits the jackpot.

She wonders what to do with the money and comes up with a seemingly crazy solution: she will share it with the people who have played a fundamental role in her life, often without them even knowing it. So, without telling anyone about her win or her intentions, Gina embarks on the most interesting journey of her life.

When Gina's granddaughter, Chloé, discovers that her beloved grandmother's mysterious disappearance is due to a secret trip to New York, she sets off to find her. To her slight annoyance, she is accompanied by her grandmother's zany best friend, Olga, who has a strange sense of humour and a talent for attracting farcical situations.

Thus begins a new stage of life for all three women, full of unexpected revelations, changes, strong emotions, and twists that give the whole story its momentum.
