A mosaic of stories woven from a yarn of ironic humour, suspense and mystery

How did the world-famous violinist manage to run into an incomprehensible time error? Why does a lazy business manager have the persistent impression that a mysterious "someone" is stealing his life? Will a desperate bankrupt bet on a washed-up underdog work out? Will the municipal councillors from a North Bohemian village cope with a bizarre EU resolution?

All this and much more can be found in this book of short stories, a mosaic of tales woven from a yarn of ironic humour, suspense and mystery. The author lets his unusually ordinary characters wander through a labyrinth of unexpected situations often beyond the boundaries of normalcy (where they are often confronted with damnably insistent existential considerations) to bring them to a "safe harbour" of surprising and even shocking resolution.

The stories are deliberately told in such a way as to be read in one breath. Whether on a warm beach on a seaside holiday or at home in the comfort of an armchair, with a cigar and a good drink to hand.
