Visio 2003
When the word Word is mentioned in connection with computers, most people react immediately, because it is a program that almost everyone has come into contact with or learned about by hearsay. Visio can't compare to that. This is a programme that is perhaps unnecessarily underestimated. Just think of how many times you have tried to create an organizational chart or block diagram by drawing individual objects, how many times you have formatted and moved arrows to point from one object to another, and how many times you have used ordinary drawing tools as an imperfect substitute. Working with Visio is completely different, as this program is specially adapted for creating diagrams. Visio can be used separately, so you can get, Edit, print and perhaps place on the web a drawing or a group of drawings - diagrams, schemes, tables... Very often, however, drawings are made because to use them in another program - Word, Excel spreadsheet or PowerPoint presentation programs. This book will provide a guide to working with Visio for both those of you who are experienced computer users and have a thorough knowledge of many programs, and those of you who are new to computers. Visio's controls are simple and intuitive, and the descriptions of each function quickly add up to when and how to perform a particular action so that the desired diagram is soon the result. In addition to demonstrating many of the features that Visio includes, you will also find a demonstration of creating a number of specific types of drawings. These practical examples will not only reveal the functions and features of Visio itself, but will also show you what you can get with Visio.
