Worlds Beyond the Horizon

Sci-fi short stories will take you on a journey to the far reaches of the galaxy

New and mysterious worlds are hidden beyond the horizon, where no human has ever set foot: eternally frozen dwarf planets hiding ancient wrecks. The labyrinth of animal minds and emotions. Virtual realities. The sense-overflowing landscape of human smell in a world of advanced technology. Colonies on dangerous distant planets. Worlds we can reach when we ask “what if”.

Author Julie Nováková will take you on a journey from a future Earth, through the Solar System, to the far reaches of the galaxy in these short stories, many of which are published here in Czech or worldwide for the first time. Each story is also accompanied by entertaining commentary from the author, revealing how the story came to be – and because we are in the realm of science fiction, sometimes even with scientific references!
