Pomoc ľuďom z Ukrajiny - HP

We are helping people from Ukraine and supporting them with what we do best. We have allocated 24 million Czech crowns, and we are also donating material and equipment. We want to make it easier for others to help too. Together with non-profit organizations, we have selected products that are suitable for current collections across the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, and Hungary. Where can you get involved too?

Czech Republic

Donation collections of the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague Collection points announced by the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague are located throughout the Czech Republic (you can donate protective and medical equipment):

Additional help in the form of sleeping bags, hygiene items and similar donations for refugees can be donated at the warehouse at the address:

If you are from Prague, you can also volunteer to collect donations that will then go to Ukraine.

Where to send the material aid?

  • You can donate clothes and drugstore products that will be prepared for the incoming Ukrainian families to the Šatník Praha Foundation, which is located in Hall 13 of the Prague Market Hall, Bubenské nábřeží 306, Prague 7, 170 00.
  • The material collection has been announced by the Špuntíci Foundation, directly in Prague (Vydavatelství A 11, Ortenovo náměstí 36, Prague 7), Ostrava (Arcada NeuroMedical Center, Mituškova 1115/8, Ostrava) and Hranice (Arcada NeuroMedical Center, Kropáčova 608, Hranice)
  • The first collection of the Scout Institute has already taken place on Saturday, February 26, for which you can volunteer as a driver. We recommend following the Scout Institute for a possible announcement of other collections in the upcoming days.
  • If you decide to send a parcel with needed items directly to Ukraine, Czech Post has offered free postage from March.

Slovak Republic

If you want to donate clothes, hygiene products, including nappies for babies, or food, please contact the Ministry of the Interior at [email protected] or call +4212/48 59 33 12. At this contact, you can also offer accommodation.

Človek v ohrození or non-governmental organisations are providing their help to the victims of the conflict. A list of organisations providing the aid can be found on Facebook, and you can also join the public FB group here.

In Bratislava, you can provide help personally at the following places:

  • Staré Mesto - sleeping bags and mats (the town hall of the Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk has asked for help)
  • Staromestské centrum kultúry a vzdelávania on Školská Street on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 12:00, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
  • Staromestské centrum kultúry a vzdelávania on 19 Gaštanová Street on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
  • Local Authority at Vajanského 3 on Mondays from 9:00 to 17:00, Tuesdays from 9:00 to 15:00.

Petržalka - blankets, sleeping bags, duvets, folding loungers, bed linen, non-perishable food, as well as disinfectant soaps, hygiene and medical supplies, nappies for children and clothes for children and women

House of Culture Zrkadlový háj from 10:00, entrance from the side (from the right side of the building)

Karlova Ves - blankets, sleeping bags, mats, toiletries, diapers, canned and non-perishable food, colouring books and things for children

Karloveská 1 (Riviera), (26-28 February) from 15:00 to 18:00 (next to the colourful container), all collected items will go directly to the border crossing in Ubla

The Local Authority Košice Nad Jazerom is opening a Permanent Help Centre from 28 February. You can bring: bed linen, sleeping bags, mats, pillows, sheets, blankets medical supplies and first aid kits heaters, drugstore products/pads, nappies, cleaning products, disinfectant packets of non-perishable food, biscuits, juices, baby food and disposable crockery/plastic cups, plates, cutlery. The centre will be open every day from 8:00 during office hours. You can also call the First Contact Office on 055/3027714 for information.

You can learn more about assistance through the Slovak Red Cross here, and you can support the Ukrainian Red Cross here. The International Association of Doctors in Slovakia is also looking for volunteers.

Hungary

List of official organisations in Hungary that accept donations for Ukraine:

  • The Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat has prepared its stations in Eastern Hungary to host refugees. More information can be found on their website - maltai.hu. You can also donate directly at www.adomanyozz.hu, by calling the donation line 1350, or by transferring money to their account number 11784009-20200776. The organisation accepts hygiene products and non-perishable food at the designated collection points. For further assistance, contact [email protected].
  • The Baptista Szeretetszolgálat has started a fundraising campaign, while donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, mats, bedding and medicines are also welcome at their collection points. You can also donate money by calling the donation line 1355 (300 Ft) or 10918001-55555555-55555555.
