Anyone who says it doesn't affect the sound quality is bullshitting - you can't tell from the dialogue, of course, but the music and effects are in a whole different league now. I definitely recommend it.

That it doesn't have enough bass? LIE That you can't tell the difference with and without a sub? NESMYSL A very high quality product that definitely surprises with its presentation. However, the correct setup is important, as well as the acoustics of the room.... but seriously folks if you buy this sub for a small room, place it in the wrong position and don't tweak the settings in the app ( simple ).... then you review that it doesn't work as it should, so I don't really understand how you managed to make money on such a product......

After setting the ARC correctly I was pleasantly surprised how well everything plays, unfortunately people write here who can't set the TV output well and then they are disappointed.
Beautiful bass, I do not recommend for a prefab apartment, the neighbors will be very excited and will love you even more: )

the Alza staff tried to impose an extended warranty on me during the Subo checkout, saying that the Sonos was a terrible piece of junk, that it would break right away. I'm not sure about that. We'll see.

I'm not an audiophile, but I can tell the difference between the AirPods Pro and the Sennheiser HD6XX. I bought the Sonos SUB unboxed, but I think the product was perfectly fine. After setting up, I tried the sound both with and without TruePlay and in different parts of the room - in the corners of the room, next to the soundbar. I paired it with the Sonos ARC and I simply could hardly tell the difference at all. I believe it's noticeable with Beam or Ray, but here it's literally a few percent. In the app, you can toggle the Sub on and off. I've tried it with a few films and at times I've really just had a placebo. Dark Knight was the only film where a subtle difference was heard when glass was broken or a similar scene, but nothing strong. So, although the Sub worked correctly, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference on a blind test in most cases. I'd still take it as a good product, with the caveat that the Sonos ARC should have been relieved by this and the dialogue and higher tones should have been cleaner/better. And again - after connecting and testing all day, the dialogues sounded almost the same. Think of it as the view of an average consumer who doesn't know the A/B difference between Spotify Premium and lossless music.

I bought a sub for Sonos Arc. The sound, when properly tuned in, is excellent, deep, and sometimes it' s really hard to get used to the absence of strong vibrations that one somehow expects. Sonos arc after joining the sub sounds much cleaner, the dialogues are even better, and the depths are at a completely different level. The result of all this is that there is no need to increase the volume in any way for a quality experience, on the contrary. I have a volume of max 1/4, before that I sometimes went to 1/2). When music or a movie is played in the living room, there is almost nothing to be heard in the bedroom, which starts about 4 meters from the living room, even if the listener feels that the sound is really “intense“. I see this opportunity to play a movie or music normally without disturbing the rest of the household in the late evening or early morning, in addition to sound quality, as the biggest plus. But everything stands and falls on trueplay, which is a sound tuning functionality supported only through the app on the iOS device. It doesn' t even make sense without him. If this does not happen properly, there is a problem. It is necessary to eliminate everything that makes sounds, and if you have an old floor like me, ideally do not even walk around the room, as advised by the video instructions, but just sit still and wave around. The huge downside, however, is that using an iPhone is not enough. When I used iPad debugging for trueplay, the result was much better, which is confirmed by discussions on the Internet. But there is a minor problem with the latest iPad Air, Pro or Mini not yet supported. You need an iPad with a thick frame and a home button. I had to borrow it from a colleague.
